Introducing the Linebacker Toolbox

Help your LBs play fast

We all want our Linebackers to play fast.

Helping them increase their 40-yard time is one thing, but there are other ways to get them to the point of attack quickly.

That’s the goal of the Linebacker Toolbox, a new e-book and clinic video series.

What you’ll get

I set out this offseason to write another e-book as a follow up to my Defensive Basics book last year.

In going through the process, I decided that an accompanying clinic video would really help visualize the techniques and drills I was putting in the book.

The result is a 46-page e-book coupled with over an hour of clinic video, specifically geared towards coaching Canadian football Linebackers.

I really think this format has allowed me to relay this information in an accessible way for coaches at ALL levels of play.

Topics

We focus on the fundamentals here.

This begins with Stance and Movement, where I break down the various ways that a Linebacker moves within the Box.

Chapter 2 is all about Reading the Play. I break down my Triangle Read system and show you how to drill these reads in practice. This is a key component to having your Linebackers play with speed.

In Chapter 3 we get into Block Destruction, and then we round things out in Chapter 4 with some techniques for Pass Coverage.

Final Thoughts

If you are new to coaching, the Linebacker Toolbox will provide you with a full system of Linebacker instruction, including individual drills and techniques.

If you are a veteran coach, perhaps you will find a tidbit or two within this e-book and video series.
