If it is an important part of their offense and they are balanced (run & pass) vs a team who are predictable and only use this as window dressing. Re the pass to the field - no different than playing vs a 2 back team with 2 receivers strong.
With significantly less area to defend to the boundary the Will backer could be an adequate pass defender. If they throw weak - a Dime DB should be inserted on 2nd & pass downs.If they are a run weak team - Will & Wk HB alignments and assignments should be dictated by the O run tendencies.
